This pair is one of my original belt buckle earring designs. I wanted to make several pairs that basically were small versions of a real buckle, and even had the “belt buckle finding” on the backs of these mini buckles. This pair is quite unique with the copper “belt” riveted around the sterling silver buckle finding where on a real buckle the belt would be snapped. Although the earrings are mostly copper, the belt buckle findings are sterling silver. For pure interest, they also have a sterling silver rivet where the belt buckles peg would be to adjust your belt’s length. The “buckle” also has a hammer texture that adds interest and contrast to the smooth of the “belt”.
These, as well as all earrings in my shop, have solid sterling silver ear wires. The earrings (with the exception of the ear wires) have an antique patina giving the copper a gunmetal color rather than the red of the raw material.
