Although you may see crosses around many necks, this BYGEORGE interpretation of such a powerful symbol is both unique and beautifully biblical. As I designed this, I was overcome with how the cross must have appeared laid across Jesus’ back as he carried it through the streets of Jerusalem.
I hammer texture the brass then cut it to length. Its both riveted and soldered together before I finish it by soldering the sterling silver finding (where the necklace attaches) on the back. You may notice the coloring is antique brass. I achieve this by putting a very light patina on it. The shape and weight of this necklace makes it wear beautifully. It is one of my personal favorites!
