Since 2012, I have been taking your horses' markings and transforming them into a functional piece of art! This is a great option if you have two horses and can't choose between the two! Depending on your pair of horses, I use a variety of techniques from hammering the metal to hand engraving the smallest of details. This classy, handmade necklace looks good no matter what you’re doing…mucking out stalls or out on the town!
As always, I hammer texture the sterling silver I use to represent the markings. Then using only a printed out picture of your horses as my guide, I freehand trace the markings directly onto the metal before hand sawing them out. As a special touch for this option, I hammer out the back so it has a lovely curve to it - adding even more interest and durability. Also the custom double pendant has two findings soldered on the back to ensure your necklace always lays perfectly while being worn - whether you are mucking out stalls or out on the town. In conclusion, I match the finishing patina with your horse's coat colors.
