After first creating my stirrup earrings, I naturally made some pendants to go with them! I have two sizes; this one is the larger of the two. Although differing in weight, the "Stirrup Necklace (Small)" is the same size as the stirrup used to make the earrings. I use a much thicker gauge sterling silver for the base of the pendants. This adds a weightiness to the stirrup, allowing it to rest beautifully while being worn.
Like all my stirrups throughout my shop, the pads are hammer textured sterling silver. Once happy with the shape and size of the stirrup bottoms, I solder down the sterling silver wire to complete the “irons”.
