After creating a custom designed saddle plate for one of my very best customers, I decided it was time I had one of my own. I've also included pictures of several other "trio" saddle plates I've had the pleasure of creating! I take your thoughts and ideas and with you, create your very own saddle plate. Custom saddle plates start at $500 and can be as extravagant as desired!
I designed my saddle plate (the one with the all silver horse in the middle) featuring three of my own horses that were huge parts of my riding career. From teaching me to get back on again when you fall to simply being my friend when school was almost more than a young girl could take, I will always remember these three! Ladybug, my very first pony, is farthest to the left. My grandfather, who I’m named after, bought her for his eleven grandchildren when I was just three years old. After seeing how passionate and driven I was to ride, he gave her to me one Christmas. The middle pony is Mysti who probably could be credited to teaching me the most! She taught me never take anything for granted! You had better be riding her with your full attention at all times (in her younger years at least)! Farthest to the right is Shakespeare. Will, as we called him, was one of the most extraordinary horses I’ve ever had the privilege to sit!
The back plate of this particular saddle plate is copper. Each horse head is sawed out individually and then soldered down to the back plate of copper. The two outside horse heads are copper with hammer textured sterling silver markings. The middle one is hammer textured solid sterling silver to represent my grey Mysti! Even if your horse has no marking on their face, I can incorporate them into a work of art!
As you can see in the pictures, BYGEORGE saddle plates make a statement without being distracting in the show ring! Saddle plates include two 1/2″ antique brass wood screws and helpful tips for attaching it to your saddle successfully!
